Dr. Clay Webber
Hello! My name is Clay Webber and I am so excited to be here at Asbury High School. I am married to Amanda Webber and we have three children; Josiah (15), Abigail (13), and Selah (10). We just recently moved into the community and we love it! I started my career at Paint Rock Valley High School in Jackson County as a history teacher in 2007. In 2009, I became the k-12 guidance counselor at PRVHS and continued to teach. I taught ACCESS Distance Learning courses for 5 years in the areas of psychology, economics, and history. In 2012, I accepted my first job as principal of PRVHS.
In December of 2016, I was hired as principal of Asbury High School. I am also working on my doctorate in Educational Administration at The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!).This journey has been a huge transition for my entire family as we moved to Albertville and our children started at Asbury Elementary School. We love the atmosphere of the Asbury community and the quality people that are found here. We look forward to watching our family grow and truly becoming a part of Asbury.
I believe that Asbury High School has great potential to become a school that others look to as a model of success. The technological resources here at Asbury are a major strength and set this school apart from the majority. I intend to implement a 1:1 initiative here at AHS that will put our school on the cutting edge of innovation in education. I am also a huge supporter of career tech and project-based learning (PBL). We are working hard to implement a plan that will truly engage our students and prepare them to be college and career ready.
In any endeavor, communication is key to achievement. I encourage communication with my students, parents, faculty, and staff. If there is anything that I can help with, please do not hesitate to contact me or my staff. Thank you for the opportunity to serve Asbury High School and the community of Asbury!
