PowerSchool Online Enrollment: What Families Need to Know
PowerSchool is the official student information system used by Marshall County School District since 2021. This cloud-based platform houses essential student data for school and district use and gives families easy access to grades, class schedules, attendance, and more.
New for the 2024–2025 School Year: Digital Enrollment!
Marshall County Schools is streamlining the registration process by using PowerSchool Online Enrollment to collect the “first day forms” electronically. This new system makes it easy for families to complete student paperwork at their convenience—anytime, anywhere—with internet access and a device.
Why Start Enrollment Early?
Beginning enrollment early gives schools and district leaders more time to:
- Plan class schedules
- Develop bus routes
- Ensure support services (health, academic, etc.) are ready
- Help families avoid the stress of back-to-school paperwork
PowerSchool Accounts: Do I Need One?
Yes. Everyone will need to create a new PowerSchool Online Enrollment Portal account, even if you already use the PowerSchool Parent Portal. These are separate systems. In future years, only the enrollment portal login will be needed.
Returning Students: What Is a Snapcode?
Each returning student has a unique Snapcode, sent via email to the custodial contact on file. This code links directly to that student’s records, making it faster to review and update their information. A separate submission is needed for each child.
📧 Didn’t get the email?
- Check your spam or junk folders.
- Make sure the school has your correct email address.
- If needed, contact the school to update your info or request the Snapcode.
Device Tips:
While tablets and computers are best for registration, you can use a mobile phone. If you don’t have access to a device or reliable internet, the district will provide opportunities to complete registration locally.

- Students who move outside of the county school zone may remain enrolled until the end of the semester in which he/she moves. The custodial parent or legal guardian must inform the school when they move out of the school attendance zone.
